I love working with students to understand exactly what they're stuggling with, and helping them through the process of "cracking the code" to be successful in their courses. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Every student has different needs under varying circumstances. Once I understand both, I like to begin my getting a quick and efficient grasp of the students current skill & level of understanding of the topics at hand and tailor my lectures toward maximum efficiency.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've worked with students my entire life. I've had 20+ students in varying AP classes, 10+ students in high level college STEM courses like General/Organic chemistry, Biochemistry, and Physiology.
I've also tutored numerous students in the SAT and MCAT.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Generally, AP classes I charge between 40-50 depending on the specific lessons necessary. College courses I charge 50-60. However, there are numerous discount options for recurring lessons on a weekly basis or more.
How did you get started teaching?
I began tutoring students when I was in high school as requested by my teachers in my AP classes. It became a common occurence and continuance when I went to college, and even graduate school. I've now tutored over 50 different students the past 7 years.
