About
I feel that a student learns best when he plays an active role in the learning process and interacts with his teachers. Discussing topics helps one retain information and thus understand concepts better. Establishing a teacher student bond resembling a friendship is what I feel is a necessity to enhance the educational journey. Just having graduated from high school, I believe that I will be able to relate better to the problems faced by students and thus help them in all aspects of education. I have been tutoring my peers since the last 3 years in various subjects like calculus, physics, biology and chemistry. Speaking of Grades, My subect SAT scores for Math (II), Chemistry and Biology are 800,800 and 770 respectively. I did my high School in India and had a final percentage of 98.2 on 100.
Teaching peers concepts is something I have enjoyed and taken pride in over my school years. I felt that these discussions helped both parties. Infact the best way to learn a subject is trying to teach it someone else. I enjoy facing challenges. I believe in learning the subject by understanding and not by just memorization. In my experience, I have observed that the use of acronyms and other mental tricks often helps students remember concepts. I enjoy understnading how the same topic can be interpretted by various minds in various ways and the ideas that students come up with when they think critically about a concept gives me a sense of satisfaction.

Make sure your bacis are strong and the rest will follow. Study to understand the topic and the grades will come on their own.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should feel free to ask teachers anything they want to. there should not be a communication gap between the teacher and the student. If a student believes that he/she needs help in a particualr area, he/she should not hesistate to ask his teacher. However, I think it is the duty of the student as well to try his best to find the solutions on his/ her own before asking to be spoonfed.
