About
Patient, Creative and Effective Tutor/Instructor for All Subjects, All Ages, All Cities
Dear Parents and Students,
May I be a personal tutor for you or your child? I have been successfully tutoring for over 12 years. I have great references and the highest ratings in this region. I graduated with honors, Summa Cum Laude from Case Western Reserve University, where I earned a Provost Academic Scholarship for my excellent test scores and made the Dean's List.
In addition to teaching for public schools, I currently teach 20 private sessions each week, Kindergarten through 12th grade, as well as college students and business professionals. I have also served on the faculty at Cuyahoga Community College.
I am patient, friendly and many students tell me that I explain concepts more effectively than their teachers. I am available weekdays or weekends, days or nights, throughout the entire year. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have regarding my experience and teaching methods. While it should go without saying, I have a clean background that has been verified by the FBI and BCI. I appreciate your time and consideration and look forward to working with you!
Thank you,
Matthew J. Horwich

Qualifications
I graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 1998. As a Provost Scholar, I earned a 50% tuition discount based on my test scores. I began tutoring math when I was in sixth grade, while in my my middle school's High Academic Potential Program. I have had my own private tutoring business, Matthew J. Horwich LLC, for over twelve years. Prior to Lessons.com, I had partnered with several other prestigious online education companies. Locally, I have worked with students and parents from several of the top college preparatory schools, as well as partnered with their guidance counselors and teachers. Some of the more well-known schools include Gilmour Academy, Hawken School, University School and St. Ignatius.
While past achievements of former pupils are not an indicator of how well a new student will do, this is my Wall of Fame:
Top Five ACT scores:
34 Solon High School - Joshua W.
33 Copley High School - Benjamin D.
33 Westlake High School - Avery B.

I enjoy helping people succeed in their educational endeavors.
