The thing I love the most about teaching/tutoring is my students excitement when they learn to read well. I love helping students to understand how reading works.
I am a certified teacher and I have taught for 25 years. I am Reading Recovery trained. I have many years of experience teaching children to read.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Process would be to have a conversation with the students to find out what is needed for their child. I would find out the age of the child. Find out where the student is struggling. Explain how my sessions work. During first sessions assessments are given to determine the level of the student. Get to know the student and the parents expectations. Proceed with necessary lessons.
