I am passionate about helping chilldren and young adults reach their fullest potential not only academically but in life. I provide mentoring and life coaching skills to my tutoring.
I have been awarded:
Tutor of the Year Award in 2015 by the English Language Learners Foundation
Mentorship Award with my work with Urban League of Latin American Citizens in 2018
Volunteer of the Month 2013 for my tutoring with The Anthony Munoz Foundation's Whiz Kids program
I love helping children and young adults reach their fullest potential. I enjoy helping them overcome obstacles and celebrate successes in all areas of their lives, not just academically.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to build a relationship to get to know them as a person and build rapport. This helps them feel more at ease with me and builds trust and confidence. Trust and confidence allows them to open up more and aids in the tutoring relationship.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the education field for over 20 years in many roles. I have been an outdoor educator, classroom aid, tutor, reading teacher, and a classroom teacher. I have also volunteered tutored in my free time.
I studied Spanish at the University of Cincinnati, lived and worked in Mexico, worked with an ESL population.
My B.A. is in Geography from the University of Cincinnati
My MsM is in Leadership from Strayer University
Currently working towards my Phd in Performance Psychology from Grand Canyon University.
