My goal is to help you truly learn and understand math concepts so that you can perform highly when tested in any way. Student's that I've tutored have received recognition from their teachers, professors, and even placed in national competitions! Whether you struggle with math or just want to be the top in your class, I tailor my instructions to meet your specific learning techniques and goals. Together, we can make a difference in your academic understanding and performance.
I've been teaching/tutoring math for 6+ years and absolutley love this career! I have my bachelors degrees in both math and economics (summa cum laude) from the University of Cincinnati. I also have my teaching licence and actively teach math for 7-12 grades for an Ohio virtual school. In my own time, I personally tutor K-12 + college math. My schedule offers great flexibility to meet at a local location, at your home, or even through a video call online!

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching/tutoring by teaching my peers in college. I would help my classmates through study groups, and soon after was hired by a former professor to teach a study session for his class outside of class. I loved teachinghelping colleagues make the connections and recognize tips and tricks to starting each problem. After this position, I was hired by local high school student's parents to help their children succeed. Through referrals, I've been making tutoring math part of my career!
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students of all learning levels! I've taught students with a learning disability, those having trouble understanding a concept in class, those doing fine in class but want to excel, those excelling in class and want to advance or skip a grade, and those competing in national merit competitions. I adhere my teaching strategy to all levels based on current comprehension.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
In a teacher you want someone who is an expert in the material, but also someone you feel comfortable asking questions. This teacher should tailor his/her teaching to your personality and learning styles. Overall, find someone you can learn to trust based on their understanding and teaching style.
