I am a recent Ohio University graduate with a BS in Biochemistry, an Environmental Science Certificate, and a Leadership Certificate. As an undergraduate, I discovered my love for teaching others. I was an Supplemental Instruction leader for 3 years, where I conducted personalized study sessions for calculus and chemistry courses that many students struggle in. Additionally, I was a chemistry Teaching Assistant for 2 years, where I helped students perform laboratory experiments and taught chemistry theory.
The profound impact that science has had in my life inspires me to share it with others, in hopes of giving them a positive learning experience. As the most famous definition of knowledge states, it is "the difference that makes a difference".

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Prior to meeting, I ask students questions about what topics they are struggling with specifically. I may ask to see current, relevant homework/quiz questions if applicable.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BS in Biochemistry, a 21st Leadership Certificate, and an Environmental Studies Certificate. In addition to regular classes, I went on 2 study abroads which focused on Environmental Sustainability and Peacebuilding, and Tropical Biology.
During my years in undergrad, I worked as a Supplemental Instruction Leader for calculus and chemistry courses. I also worked as a Teaching Assistant for chemistry labs. Additionally, I have experience in 2 laboratories working as a research experience.
