Ashley Chemistry Tutor
About
I am a Chemist from the Cincinnati area. I have a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry from Case Western Reserve University. I work as a Chemist full-time, but I am very passionatee about helping others learn chemistry for school! I specialize in highschool level chemistry (General, Honors, AP, etc) and also college level Organic Chemistry.
I love chemistry with all of my heart. It teaches us so much about how the world around us works. I love having a deep understanding about how the world operates on the tiniest of levels. It requires abstract thinking, but that is a skill that everyone can gain with enough practice!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to take it slow in the beginning to ensure that the student has solid, foundational understanding of the material. I like to ask the student plenty of questions to help me understand where they are at already so that I know how to best help them moving forward! I encourage students to always give each problem a try on their own first, and then I am always there to direct them along the way if they get stuck in their thought process, or need guidance on what they're getting wrong. I am very positive and encourage the student to be positive as well! Learning chemistry can and should be fun!
