My name is James Gilmore and I have been a math tutor since 2016. I started tutoring math at Kent State when I was finishing my undergrad. In 2018 I graduated with my degree in integrated mathematics and am currently in my second year of teaching as a high school math teacher. In addition to my tutoring and teaching jobs I freelance tutor and manage my own clientel. I have tutored a wide range of grade levels and classes ranging from the third grade to college math. I hope I can assist you and I look forward hearing from you!
He’s great! I was halfway through the semester in Algebra for Calculus and I had a very low D. My grade started climbing instantly once we started working together. I ended up finishing the class with a B! A class that had a 60% fail rate at my school. He shows up on time, is easy to get along with. Sometimes we may have done more joking around than studying but we got it done. He even came through with extra help for my final exam. Now that he moved a few hours away, he’s still helping me via Skype and I literally am SO grateful to have a tutor like him! 10/10!
Mr. Gilmore tutored my daughters and helped them both with 8th and 12th grade math/algebra. He explained things well, was always punctual and gave great tips on studying. Would definitely recommend him to others.
