About
I am the owner and operator of Inspired to Believe Tutoring. I have been tutoring for 7 years. Before I went into the tutoring business I was teaching in school. I received my bachelor's degree in education in 2009. Last year I officially named my business to it's current name to reflect my philosophy. I want students to know that they can do anything and they should believe it as well. I work with students to help them achieve the goals that parents want met. I use various methods to help students understand the material. I adapt the activities I do to fit the individual needs of the child. If something isn't working I reevaluate and adjust to make our sessions fun and educational.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically start with a meet and greet session at no cost. During this session I get to know the student personally and what they like or dislike. I assess the strengths and weaknesses of the student. I find out what the parent/student is wanting to get out of the tutoring sessions. I then lay out a plan that will roughly be followed. I outline some of the activities I will utilize during the tutoring sessions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor's degree in education with specialization in reading. TESOL certification, math prof development courses
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My price includes homework assistance, study skills, and lesson reinforcement through various methods.
Prices range from $15/session to $40/session per child
How did you get started teaching?
I had always wanted to go into teaching since I was six and my first grade teacher instilled in me a passion for learning. I went to college later in life but it was worth the wait as I had achieved my life long dream.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a variety of students. I have taught in regular classroom setting where students of all learning abilities are included. I, however, have mainly worked with students who have an IEP and need extra attention and time. I have worked with those on the autism spectrum as well.
