Is your child struggling to learn to read? I am passionate about helping children build a strong foundation of phonics reading skills. I am a Certified Academic Language Practitioner. I use the Orton Gillingham method to explicitly teach readers how to decode and spell words. This approach is individualized and is proven successful in building stronger reading and writing skills.
It's amazing to see the growth that can happen with individual or small group tutoring.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Initially an assessment will be done and based on the student's needs and the parents concerns a plan will be developed to help the student gain confidence and improve skills.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an Intervention Specialist working with elementary age students. I have a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I am a Certified Academic Language Practioner.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Individual lessons are from 45-60 minutes long, one or two times a week. Prices range from $40-$50 per session.
