I have always had a passion for education ever since I was little. I have extensive experience tutoring. I have been doing it since 2012. I graduated from The University of Akron in December with my BA in Secondary Education: Social Studies. I am willing to tutor Elementary Scholars in Reading, Writing, and Social Studies, and 7-12 grade scholars in any content regarding Social Studies, or English Language Arts.
What drives me is the ability is for scholars to be able to grow in whatever they're struggling with. If a scholar gets something that I have taught them, then I call that success at the end of the day.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first thing I want to do is to work with them on their struggles during the first session, so that I know where their weak areas are, so that our second session and beyond, I can tailor a plan to their needs so they can succeed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have tutored since 2012. Since 2018, I have been a Summer Teaching Fellow at Galapagos Rockford Charter School in Rockford, IL. I have helped scholars at this school improve their reading, writing, and math skills. I have also tutored with Akron Hope, where I would tutor 3rd and 4th grade scholars with their reading and writing skills, especially when it came to them preparing for their Ohio State Tests.
