Elementary Tutoring And Homework Help
About
I come from a family of educators. I spent a year working as a tutor and mentor in an Elementary school with 4th and 5th grade students. I have also run after-school extra curricular activities and homework help. I have an associate's degree in education and am currently pursuing my bachelor's. I am passionate about helping kids discover their love of learning. Children's innate curiosity is something to be encouraged. Each child learns differently and has their own unique talents. I believe that understanding who they are as people helps build their confidence. I look forward to helping you foster your child's potential.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
In the first session, I prefer to get to know the student. I ask them what they like about school, what they don't like about school, their favorite subjects, what kind of books they like to read, hobbies, etc. This information helps me gauge what kind of approach will be most engaging for them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have run two different after school programs. I spent a year working as a tutor/mentor/teacher's aide in a 4th and 5th grade English classroom through a non-profit organization. I have completed my associate's degree in Education and currently pursuing my bachelor's.
