Angel Katthi

Hi! I am an English teacher, looking forward to helping students with their reading and writing work. As a graduate of Cornell University, B.A. in Performing and Media Arts with Magna Cum Laude honors, I am well-qualified to guide students in interpreting texts, clarifying voice, and strengthening their written and verbal arguments. I work with students in middle and high school (grades 7-12) and can help them with work for English, History, and general Humanities classes. As a professional director for theater/film, it is my strength to guide students to find their own voice, empowering them to formulate their own thoughts in response to a text. Writing- the formulation of opinions, and the expression of self, whether it be poetry, theater, or writing essays for school, are all artistic endeavors. No matter the assignment, it is my duty to ensure that my students leave our lessons excited to create their work, which becomes confidence over time, as they learn to tackle their assignments independently.
