Josh Math And Physics Tutoring

As a sophomore year math major, I often help my friends and family with their homework and studying for tests. I always emphasize a few things:

1. Active Recall: People need to understand how to study to be able to most easily absorb complicated material.

2. Strong conceptual understanding: If something isn't intuitive and doesn't make absolute sense, it's going to not only be less interesting, but it will be easier to forget.

3. Confidence: Every student is capable of understanding, succeeding in, and enjoying math. Everyone has the capability of being the next Einstein if they put their mind to it.

4. Empathy: Regardless of any grade a student receives, they are valuable, intelligent, and deserving of all good things that come to them.
