About
I am a college student at Carnegie Mellon University, studying Statistics and Neuroscience. I would love to help your child succeed in their high school or earlier math or statistics courses, as well as on their standardized tests. I am also from NY, and have taken many of the state tests. I had a 2350 on the SAT, and a 35 score on the ACT (36 Math, 35 Reading, 34 Science, 36 English).
I also have experience with essay writing and editing. I am currently working towards a minor in Technical writing, so I would be more than happy, and am qualified, to assist with those types of challenges as well.

I look forward to working with you!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student, I will first work to understand their learning and thinking styles. I will prepare beforehand to tailor my lessons and help to their specific needs, and ensure that I understand the expectations of their teachers or the standardized test, in order to make sure that I can fully support the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Horace Mann School in Bronx, NYC in 2016. From there, I went to Carnegie Mellon University (where I currently study) to major in Statistics and Neuroscience. While working towards these degrees, I have taken courses in Calculus, Linear Algebra, Logic, Probability and Bayesian Statistics, as well as courses in cellular biology, systems neuroscience, and computational neuroscience, among others.
I have also worked as a mentor for the Strong Womens Strong Girls program, teaching young girls about strong women in history. In addition, I am a part of a volunteer organization called FORGE, in which I teach a refugee family English on a bi-weekly basis.
