What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I schedule an initial consultation with the student and her parents. In our discussion I help formulate a program that will help the student reach her/his goals while providing the parents with tried and true strategies to help support their child.

Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education.

How did you get started teaching?
it’s what I always wanted to do. My mother is a teacher and great role model.
What types of students have you worked with?
All types - with both general ed and special ed populations. I have worked with children as young as 7 years and college and graduate students.

Getting together with family and friends for a recent birthday celebration.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure the person is a qualified and experienced teacher with whom you can easily connect.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I also tell prospective clients to give me three consecutive sessions and if you don’t see positive results, we discontinue. In all the years, I am pleased to report that no parent or student has chosen to discontinue services after the initial three sessions.
