Reading comprehension is something I am very passionate about. I had a very difficult time growing up but by the time I was in high school became a very avid reader. I am passionate about reading and believe it is a great release for students and can be made fun for everyone!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Get to know the student! First figure out what goals we are trying to achieve in the tutoring sessions, what is the student struggling with, what does the student enjoy/their passions, lastly a plan to overcome the struggle and find a way to enjoy learning, reading/schoolwork.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors degree from Fordham University in Sociology. In primary and middle school I struggled with reading comprehension and other aspects of schoolwork with the help of tutors who were passionate about learning I was able to overcome those difficulties. Throughout my education I became passionate about learning and different learning styles and became an extremely avid reader. I would love to help others change their mindset to enjoy learning and reading and know everyone is different.
