She was very professional while tutoring me. She has experience tutoring and is knowledgeable about chemistry. She was very helpful in getting me to understand the content that I was struggling with.

Frequently asked questions

I often get them to send me a list of topics so I can review what material they wish to go over: this review involves compiling practice questions and creating a few that I've seen on big tests in my own experience!

I am currently a Senior in Industrial Chemistry at RPI. I only have lab courses left and have finished all of my theoretical classes for my degree, which makes me more than confidant in my abilities to help.

I use a sliding scale based on what the student can pay. I have work for anywhere between $25 and $40 an hour. A good expectation would be $30 an hour!

I have always loved helping people in classrooms as I was coming up through school and felt I had a real passion for it. When I was in high school, I ran a tutoring team for Chemistry through my school and helped hundreds of classmates be one of the best performing years at my school. It made me feel pride in the small part I played in it and I've loved it ever since

The entire range: elementary to college students, students with learning disabilities, and advanced students who really tested my knowledge! I've worked with hundreds and would love to work with more!

Find someone who's willing to work from your starting point. Listen, a lot of teachers are going to want to start from step 1 of their plan. Facts are, that isn't going to help YOU much with learning. Find someone who can start where you're at and get you where you want to be.

Think about what may be stopping you from being where you want to be and propose an idea as to what my help. Giving a teacher the indication that you've given real depth of thought is often more than an enough for some understanding on their part.
