Daniel McCarthy

My name is Daniel. I’m 36 years old, originally from New York in the USA. I took my degree in Interdisciplinary Humanities in Prague, Czech Republic. After graduating, I relocated to Hong Kong for my advanced degree before settling in Shanghai where I taught various subjects for six years and also managed foreign teaching staff and counselled students on their university admissions.I've also recently earned my MA in Education Management. I have more than ten years of teaching and management experience, encompassing American, British and international curricula. I’ve taught in Europe and Asia and encountered students of various ethnicities, cultures and ages. I’ve worked at primary schools, high schools and universities. I can say there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to education. One constant through-line, however, is the need for good preparation and ample patience. These are the key ingredients for any good teacher or manager.
