Frequently asked questions

I start with a short consultation to understand your goals and timeline. Then, I give a brief diagnostic to identify strengths and gaps. From there, I create a customized learning plan with clear milestones. Each session focuses on targeted practice, error analysis, and strategy, with ongoing feedback to keep you on track toward your GRE Quant goals.
I’ve completed upper-level collegiate (e.g., multivariable calculus, linear algebra) and graduate-level math courses (e.g., statistics and experimental design), which position me strongly to help students tackle the quantitative reasoning required for the GRE. Furthermore, I served as a 988 Crisis Counselor, where I guided people through high-stakes situations with clarity and empathy. That role sharpened my diagnostic skills, structured communication, and ability to break down complex problems — all of which directly translate into effective GRE Quant tutoring.

Scheduling & Flexibility Policy: Sessions are scheduled by request — I confirm each time personally to ensure fit and quality. This means you’ll never be locked into a time without my approval. Payment & Policies ~ Payment is due at booking. ~ Cancellations made 24+ hours in advance: no fee. ~ Cancellations within 24 hours: $20 fee. ~ Cancellations within 4 hours or no‑show: full session fee ($30). By booking (either self-service or through tutor), you acknowledge and agree to these terms. Dispute Policy All payments reflect tutoring services reserved or delivered. Refunds and cancellations are handled directly with me according to the above policy. Filing a chargeback for services delivered or late cancellations constitutes breach of agreement. Documentation of communication and attendance will be provided in the event of a dispute.
I first began teaching by briefly tutoring chemistry and working as a substitute teacher. Those early experiences showed me how much joy I get from helping others learn and seeing their progress. That passion is what led me to build my tutoring practice today.
I’ve worked with a range of students, including a college freshman, high schoolers, and middle schoolers. These experiences have helped me adapt my teaching style to different levels and learning needs.
Students should reflect on their goals, challenges, and preferred learning styles before approaching a teacher. This helps them communicate clearly and ensures the teacher can provide meaningful support.
