About
I am a Junior studying English at the George Washington University. I also have a History and Film Studies minor. As of now, I have a 3.89 cumulative GPA. I have taken classes during my academic career like University Writing (a required class that helps refine form and structure of college level writing), English Literature, Techniques in Creative Writing, The Short Story, Global Shakespeare, Victorian Fictions, Critical Theory, Fiction Writing, and Shakespeare on Film.
My specialties include proofreading of essays, including fiction and creative works, close readings, and analysis of texts.
One of my biggest passions and greatest wealth of knowledge lies in Shakespeare and his works. In the Spring Semester 2019, I studied in London, England to gain more specialized knowledge on the subject.
I also have experience proofreading and editing a wealth of different kind of essays. Though I have never worked for a professional editing company, friends, peers, and family turn to me to help edit their essays, whether they be newswriting articles, History essays, English essays, etc. Any type of essay, I am equipped to read and give feedback.
I have experience and can aid in the writing and editing of college essays as well as any other English literature related essays.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I can meet with you in person, or you can send me your work online. I will read and take notes, and then give feedback on how your writing can be improved. We can meet as many times as you'd like until you feel that you have the best work possible. Through these sessions, I will mention weaknesses but also strengths, and give you tips for future writings.
For everything else -- such as help with close readings or critical analysis -- we will have to meet in person in order to work through the text together carefully and thoughtfully. I will give you tips and tricks I have learned over the years to really delve into a text and give an original thesis.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am gaining a bachelors degree in English from The George Washington university with minors in History and Film Studies.
Beyond this, I have experience critiquing creative works from my position as Co-Editor of Pittsford Mendon's Literary Magazine, Valhalla, in my senior year of high school. I am continuing my work on literary magazines through GW's publication, Wooden Teeth.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I will charge $20 per hour for meetings and consultations.
How did you get started teaching?
I am not yet a teacher, but I am working towards becoming a High School English teaher, then hopefully a Professor of English Literature.
What types of students have you worked with?
Mostly just peers, friends, and family at the moment.
