Spanish Tutoring

I have been working with Miriam for about a year and a half now and I have nothing but glowing things to say. Miriam is an awesome person and an even better tutor. She makes it very easy to learn and advance my Spanish because she is very encouraging as well as patient. Her first language is Spanish which allows her to teach the fundamentals extremely proficiently. It also allows her to teach phrases, culture and everything else that comes with growing up in a Spanish speaking country. Miriam is also very flexible when it comes to scheduling because I know my schedule has changed many times over the course of us working together and it has never been an issue. In summary, Miriam is awesome and super personable and one of the best teachers I have ever had throughout my life. If you are looking to improve your Spanish skills then there is no need to look any further.

Miriam is very knowledgeable and personable. She presents information in a structured way that is tailored to the specific learning style of the student. She is also fun and hilarious which makes learning something new a little easier! I have been working with her for 3 months and have made significant progress in my journey of mastering the Spanish language since becoming her student.

It is one thing to be a tutor but it is another to be a great COACH…. Miriam has been above and beyond what I could’ve expected. Learning a new language can be daunting, however with Miriam I have not only enjoyed every conversation and lesson but I’ve never felt more like I’m being immersed in the culture I’ve been so desperate to know more about! I’m relaxed going into every session, knowing Miriam will be patient and guide me every step of the way. Arguably the best learning environment I’ve had and I’m in it for the long haul!

I have been learning Spanish with Miriam for over a month now and I can confidently say that Miriam is one of the best language teachers I have come across in my life. Her style is very different from a typical high school syllabus that forces students to memorize grammar and vocab without allowing space to chat and write creatively. At first I was a bit worried about my ability to pick up a new language at age 25 while working but Miriam is so incredibly encouraging. She knows how to adapt her teaching style for different ages and tapped into my interests of learning business Spanish as well as traveling/meeting people around the world. I not only learned a lot of Spanish grammar at a very fast pace but also Spanish culture, politics, and conversational skills within the workplace and in a casual setting. She makes sure that I am constantly utilizing the grammar and new vocabulary I learnt by giving me opportunities to tell stories about my life. She corrects my grammar and pronunciation in a patient way so I never feel shy about my mistakes. Even after our classes I always feel like my brain is working constantly to pierce together everything I learnt. As a result, over the past month I have gained a lot of confidence in expressing my thoughts in Spanish. I have also met many Spanish-speaking people who were impressed by my learning speed.
