About
Hi future Spanish speaker!
I have been tutoring since I was in college and I started working as a tutor on Tutors.com almost 4 years ago now!
I am originally from Spain, so I love sharing my language and culture with everyone who is interested in learning more about it. I always try to make my classes as dynamic as possible, mixing grammar with listening/speaking exercises (from beginners to more advanced students) and sending homework to be able to improve on your own.
Every student learns differently and that is why I adapt each class to each student depending on their needs or the skills they want to become better on.
My goal as a tutor is to create an environment in which the student enjoys learning and at the same time, feels comfortable and confident enough to ask questions and speak Spanish. English is my second language so I know it takes time, consistency and patience to learn another language but I can tell you it is totally worth it!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
It depends on the needs of the student. I like to get to know the student first so we can see what works better and how we can organize and customize the classes.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I completed several courses on how to adapt classes for different levels of spanish and how to develop dinamic exercises for the student.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
The price of each class varies between $22 and $25 per hour, depending on the level of the student.
How did you get started teaching?
I have worked as a tutor since university but I started teaching Spanish while I was living in London several years ago and I loved it. I enjoyed being able to help people who were interested in learning more about the language and the culture.
What types of students have you worked with?
Most of my students have been between 25-65 years old. The majority were looking to improve their speaking and listening skills, but many other were required to learn Spanish for their current jobs.
I also have experience teaching younger students as teenagers, helping them with their spanish homework-preparation for exams.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Try to find a native teacher, always! Someone you can feel comfortable with :)
