Hi, I'm Yusuf! I'm a Mechanical Engineering and Journalism double major at New York University.
I started tutoring students after I took the SAT and ACT myself in high school. I've been tutoring these tests for three years now and have a lot of experience not only with how to tackle the questions presented on the tests, but also how to manage time to finish each section completely and confidently.
When I was preparing, I found that taking practice tests was the best way to get familiarized with the material and the pressure of test-taking. I emphasize taking as many practice tests as possible so when the day comes, the student is comfortable taking the test and managing their time.
Most of my students in the past have had trouble with completing questions within the alotted time. I focus especially on this aspect of the test, and make sure the student feels confident about the material but more importantly, feels confident in themselves.
I enjoy seeing my students meet the goals they set for themselves. I take pride in the work I do.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I give my new students a practice test. Based on the test results, I can see exactly which areas need work and can target these areas efficiently.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I generally charge $80 per hour. However, I understand that every family's needs are different and I can be more flexible if necessary.
