As an undergraduate student majoring in Electrical Engineering at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, my future aspirations include a career that combines innovative technologies and helping others.
I believe that my curiosity, eagerness to help others, intense passion to create new innovations, and previous experience/leadership roles makes me an ideal and strong candidate to tutor students in various subjects. Not only am I interested in helping students learn more about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, but also in fostering and nurturing the growth of society’s future leaders.
Recently, I myself, had an interest and passion for STEM in high school but struggled to find the right resources and mentors to help me get on the right track and achieve my goals. It was not until the summer of my sophomore year in high school that I found the motivation and spark I needed in a robotics camp. Without that experience and those who made it worthwhile, I would not be here today pursuing a major in STEM, particularly engineering.
Through tutoring, I hope to foster students’ inner drive and passion to succeed in the area they choose. I aim to not only provide support for students, but to also inspire future innovative thinkers.
Learning does not have to be boring and tedious. It can be educational, informative, and also a rewarding and fun experience. As a tutor, I will help my students grow both as an intellectual and person.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I will assess the student's personal needs regarding their academics and schoolwork. Then, I will customize a study plan to help the student achieve their goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently an undergraduate engineering student so I understand how frustrating it can be to struggle with a certain topic. I believe that being a student helps me to empathize with others and help them succeed.

I first tutored my friends and classmates with standardized test prep, math, and science.

I have experience with working with various personality types. I am very patient and accomodating to every individual.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently joined an organization at my school called WoMentorship that empowers women in STEM to support one another. I love the idea behind the organization and strong support women going into STEM.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Take your time to find the person you think will truly click with you and be able to offer the help you need.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What am I struggling with? Why am I particularly struggling with a certain concept? What can I share with my tutor so that they can help me to the best of their capabilities?
