I am currently a Ph.D student in Urban Planning. I have experience in GIS, Urban Planning, and a little Geoscience. My Bachelors is in Geoscience and in Geography. I also have my Master of Urban Planning. My main tool of choice is GIS. I have approximately 4 years experience.
I have always wanted to teach because I enjoy teaching. And I have always wanted to teach Geography because I actually love Geography - it is the true science of where. Just because I may not know an answer doesn't mean we can't figure it out together. Life is about "figuring it out" and I am here to help you do that. I have tutored previously. Now that I am on a track of becoming a professor, I would love to get back into the tutoring world.
What I enjoy most about the work I do is the students and the "AHA!" moments.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have double major bachelors in Geosciences and Geography. I have a Master of Urban Planning degree. I am currently a PhD student in Urban Planning. I have about 4+ years in GIS. I have experience as a city planner.

I usually charge by the hour.
How did you get started teaching?
For my masters research I taught high school students to use an app to collect infield data. The teaching part was my favorite. I have also helped fellow students in teaching them to use GIS and trained new employees to use our software at my job. I have also tutored previously for approximately 1.5 years.
What types of students have you worked with?
High school and College (undergraduate and graduste).
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Have I exahuasted all my available resources? Sometimes we think we have not found the answer but mostly we have just given up too early. I have done this numerous of times.
