YH French Tutoring
About
As an Asian-Canadian who grew up in a multinational culture, I know better than anyone else about the difficulties that are involved in learning a language that is not your mother tongue. Therefore, I have spent a lot of my time trying to help other people like me; for students needing academic assistance, but also for adults seeking to consolidate and strengthen their knowledge. As the result, I hope that they can not only easily prevail over the challenges of the process, but also focus on the enjoyment of the learning achievement.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I generally begin by asking the student about the type of help they would like to receive, whether is it for an improvement in the written aspect, the oral, or the reading. Then, within the time constraint that they have (if there is one), I will establish a syllabus which would keep the lessons in an advancement that would match the student's desired progress. Of course, if there are any changes in the pace of learning throughout the lessons, I would make alteration after consulting the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been taught in a rigourous French education throughout most parts of my life, and as a result of personal interest am I also quite versed in French history and literature. During high school and college, I have actively tutored in both the in-campus and off-campus contexts, therefore making me rather experienced in many of the tutoring situations.
