About
Hi! My name is Aliénor and I'm an NYU student who graduated from a French American high school. I was born in France, but moved to NY when I was 7. French is thus my first/native language and I learned English later when I came to the US. I have extensive experience with French coursework in elementary, middle, and high school, having been through it myself not so long ago. I am best suited to provide help with French homework, conduct conversations in French for immersion purposes, and help students with feedback from a French native speaker.
I am happy to share my language and culture with others, and to help others achieve their full potential. As a psychology major, I am passionate about helping people achieve their goals and focus very much on well-being in everything I do, including tutoring!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
It is my aim to tailor everything to the student's specific needs. Some students like a very serious environment with strict deadlines to keep them motivated and on track, while others would rather be more 'in the flow' and go at their own pace and avoid stress, for instance. Therefore, before starting work with any student it is important to me to have a frank conversation about needs, goals, expectations, and potential concerns to ensure a productive and beneficial relationship.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the French education system from kindergarten to end of high school, obtaining my baccalauréat with highest honors (mention très bien).
