Hello. My name is John Nadolny. I am a retired public school teacher. I'm certified to teach grades K-8. Having worked with children for 35 years, I have knowledge of the subject area. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
After introducing myself, I make student and parents comfortable. I look to see if your child has a knowledge of their work, if the student had difficulty, I go over the skill very slowly.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My educational experience began at Jersey City State College, although today known as New Jersey City University. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. While working in the public school system I attended many professional developments.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard price is $25 per hour. All my tutoring is done at the public library.
How did you get started teaching?
I always knew I wanted to be a teacher since I was in 4th grade. When I graduated college I got my job in the public school system.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a wide range of learning styles in my classes over the years.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My advice to the student would be hire and try it out.

How to help them with a specific skill where the problem is.
