Gabriela Gowdie Theatre Tutoring

A graduate of Manhattanville College with a degree in Theatre and Education grades K-12, I have had the pleasure of working in both public school settings and private groups. As a student teacher, I specialized in a Literacy through Drama Program grades K-5, instructing 400 students in both integrated and isolated classrooms. My experience includes working with ESL students as well as students with special needs. I believe the performing arts are a gateway to deeper learning, heightened creativity, and better communication across all subject areas. I encourage students to be lifelong learners and to apply what they have learned in their personal lives!

I love helping students find their voices and explore the full extent of their creativity. There's nothing better than cultivating a sense of confidence through a willingness to make mistakes and discover the choices that resonate with each student on an individual ways. There are many ways to write and share a story, I love when students find their own!
