About
Hello, folks,
As a young person enrolled as a biology major in college, I remember the difficulties and the confusion of learning biology for the first time! I believe I can present the material covered in your high school biology class in a way that will actually make sense. I tutored biology for two years at Rye Country Day School in New York, I received a 5 on the AP biology test in 2022, and I recently received a citation in my cellular biology class at Dartmouth college. I am so excited to work with you!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We will start by talking about the specific subject matter that is giving you trouble. If you are feeling confused about a broader topic, I can begin with a mini lecture wherein you stop me whenever something doesn't make sense. Once you feel more confident in your abilities, I will ask you questions and/or present practice problems based on the material.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from high school after taking general biology, AP Biology, general chemistry, AP Psychology and forensic science. I have also taken and passed a state-licensed EMT class.
I am currently enrolled in University as a biology major.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I love teaching for the sake of teaching. I want to give students the chance to not only pass but actually enjoy biology. I also recognize that I am not a professional teacher. As such, my prices are relatively low. I generally charge 15 dollars an hour, but I'm flexible if that price is too steep.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching as a junior in high school when I noticed that a number of younger students were struggling with our school's notoriously difficult freshman biology class. I loved it.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have experience with high school students mostly aged 15-17
