Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Working with new students is always a welcoming and exciting process. Getting to know the student on a personal level helps me to better understand them and help cater my tutoring to meet their goals and needs. Then setting up a schedule that works for both the student and I is a crucial step in the path to success!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I currently have a high-school diploma and am enrolled in college at Hofstra University.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
The rate for tutoring session in any subject would be $30/hour per child from grades K-8 and $40/hour per child from grades 9-12.
How did you get started teaching?
I started off tutoring the kids of family friends as a favor and just to help out, but I ended up finding it very rewarding. There's no other joy than watching someone that you helped, finally understand the topic they've been struggling in or learn the concept that's been alluding them. I would love to help others in the same way and achieve success in whatever they are striving for.
