I have many years experience tutoring and teaching students in the US as well as foreign countries (and continents) from pre-K through University students. I enjoy watching a student achieve their goals and I take great pride connecting to students of all ages. I sincerely believe that very student can learn!
I enjoy observing students achieve their goals and watching them gain confidence; I celebrate their achievements along with them.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Primarily, I strive to make the student comfortable and at ease in order to lower the ‘affective filter’ - to increase confidence and the desire to learn. I become familiar with the student as I assess his/her strengths as well as challenges and find out what his/her goals are.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Master of Science, English Linguistics, Hofstra University, summa cum laude; Bachelor of Art, English Lit, Long Island University, summa cum laude. I also studied for one year, Regents College, London, England; one semester, Cambridge University, Cambridge, England; two semesters, Zheijiang University, Hangzhou, China: summa cum laude.
I work with Special Ed and Honor/AP students tutoring various subjects including English/ESL (reading, writing and social studies) Pre-K, kindergarten, elementary, middle school, high school, university students. I have also tutored adults through age 60 plus to read and write!
I taught English and English as a Second Language in public schools on Long Island and New York City and I tutored and worked at Nassau Community College, and Zheijang University, China (middle school and University students.)
