About

There are multiple ways to teach the same thing. I have been told that im very good at making the topics relateable and enjoyable. I have two years of online experience help and at least 5 of in person help

One student I tutored had low self esteem. His grades were all C's and D's. He didn't try and be played video games all day. I gave him questions like "if 100 people join a fortnite game, 35 of them died, how many remain including you" and "how many people would you have to survive longer than in order to finish in the top 3".

He loved this, and his mom loved to hear him laugh during our sessions. His grade improved to an A and he realized he had it in him to get good grades. By the end of the year, he had all A's and B's. His mother told me through tears that the whole dynamic of their family had improved because there were no constant arguments and groundings due to bad grades, but more importantly her son was more confident than ever.

This is what I strive for with everyone I help.

I would recommend Spencer because hes patient, flexible, and knowledgable. My daughter has always had a hard time with math, but since working with Spencer he has helped her grade improve. My daughter is more confident when it comes to math and has a better understanding of the various concepts!

Probably when I was a child and had a younger sister who needed help with her math homework.

All types!  First graders through college, kids who wanted supplemental material (6th grader doing college level math!), kids with ADHD, Autism, and Aspergers.

Went to California for my cousins wedding.   Sooo beautiful there

Teachers WANT to help!  Ask questions and ask for tools or resources that the teacher can recommend.

Whichever questions are on the student's mind!  Always try to solve a problem before asking for help.  This builds confidence that can affect other areas of the student's life.
