Sofia At SoFlo Math Tutors

Fun fact: traveling is my favorite pastime. Especially to Chicago! Hi, my name is Sofia, and I am a tutor. I love working with students. The most rewarding part of tutoring for me is when a new concept “clicks” with a student - their excitement is contagious, and it’s a privilege to be able to help them reach that point! On a more personal level, and with my students, I am a patient and kind of nerdy person.

I partner with students on a one-on-one basis in STEM subjects through SoFlo Tutors, my tutoring agency. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Computer Engineering and have been tutoring with SoFlo for 2 years. Math and Science build on themselves, so my strategy is to identify gaps in a student’s knowledge of a subject and help to fill them in with individualized lessons! At SoFlo, we raise grades, strengthen understanding, and build confidence. In the long-term, we even hope to work ourselves out of a job by helping your student gain and maintain educational independence!
