Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first meeting I sit down with the student and get to know them and their academic skills. Once I have a good understanding of what they would like accomplished, I will create and plan fun and exciting ways to teach them. I will do my best to try ways other than those taught in the classroom, especially if what they're being taught in school does not "stick" with them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a recent graduate from High school and attending college for early childhood education in the fall. I have experience with tutoring and teaching a classroom reading and writing skills.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
No set pricing, not looking to break your wallet, but definitely looking for decent pay.
How did you get started teaching?
As a little girl, I remember gathering my neighborhood friends and playing school. Then, in high school I really began diving into the real world. I began co-teaching a classroom by creating lesson plans, homework assignments, and projects. On the side, I would also tutor elementary students particularly in math and English studies.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students with and without learning disabilities such as dyslexia, reading comprehension issues, and ADHD.
