About
Hello! I am a college senior majoring in Hispanic Studies. I've been learning and speaking spanish for 11 years and am passionate about the language and the many cultures associated with it. My goal is to give my students a fulfilling experience that will greatly improve their language skills, as well as inspire them to continue with their studies past this program..and educate them on the many opportunities that being fluent in spanish can offer!
One of my majors became Spanish, completely unplanned. I had taken so many Spanish courses simply because I enjoyed them and liked speaking, that eventually I got so close to being able to double major that I decided to just do it. Spanish is a skill that has helped me in the past enormously- whether it be with work, being able to comfortably navigate foreign countries and more. Being bilingual has opened many doors for me and has definitely expanded my world view and led me to create great connections that otherwise I probably wouldn't have.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I like to asses the level of spanish they are currently at by having a short conversation with them or having them answer a couple questions in spanish. However, every student is different and learns differently, so I try to accomodate and tailor my teaching style to each individual to ensure that they will be engaged and learn their best.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I will be recieiving a Bachelor's degree in Hispanic Studies this coming May from Wheaton College in Massachusetts. I have also spent four months in Granada,Spain this past year being completely immersed in the Spanish language, taking classes in Spanish and living with a family who only spoke spanish. I also have some experience with assistant teaching pre-school and young elementary students in Sunday school at my local church.
