I am a professional writer, communications specialist, and Cooper Union graduate offering tutoring in writing, literature, history, college admissions, and the visual arts. My background includes AP Literature and AP U.S. History, and I was accepted to every college I applied to with merit scholarships. I also received a full Jackie Robinson Foundation scholarship and a full-tuition scholarship to The Cooper Union, where I graduated with honors. In addition to working on Cooper Union's admissions team, I've helped students strengthen portfolios, essays, and application materials.

As a writer and communications specialist for a nonprofit, I spend my days translating complex ideas into clear, engaging language for diverse audiences. I bring that same approach to tutoring. Rather than focusing on memorization, I help students learn how to think through challenging material. I enjoy breaking down difficult texts by looking at close reading, pattern recognition, etymology, historical context, and the connections between ideas, systems, and language. My goal is to make knowledge feel more accessible without oversimplifying it, giving students practical tools they can carry with them long after a single assignment is finished.

I also bring that same philosophy to the visual arts. As a practicing installation artist, I've exhibited my work in more than eight solo and group exhibitions and have participated in artist residencies and collaborative projects internationally. I work with students on portfolio development, artist statements, critiques, and art school applications, helping them present both strong work and a clear sense of who they are as artists.

Whether we're developing an essay, preparing a college application, analyzing literature, building an art portfolio, or refining an artist statement, I tailor every session to the individual student. I genuinely enjoy helping students reach the moment when a difficult text finally clicks or when an idea they've been struggling to express suddenly comes together. I believe learning is at its best when curiosity replaces intimidation, and questions are encouraged. My goal is for students to leave each session feeling more confident, more curious, and equipped with skills they can carry into their future.
