I like to solve problems in a logical step by step manner so that my students can eventually become independent problem solvers.

I enjoy interacting and getting to know a student the most.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I would like to first help with pressing questions. After getting a sense of where the student needs improvement, I come in and fill in the gaps that their professor or teacher had left out. I hope to let my students finish each session with confidence and optimism to face future problems.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am an American born Chinese with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California and a MSed in Middle/High School Math Education. I also have a year's worth of study abroad experience in Beijing at Peking University. I am currently working as a certified middle school/high school math teacher.

How did you get started teaching?

My brother encouraged me to give tutoring a try. My brother is a full-time organic chemistry, general chemistry, and physics tutor.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with pre-K students all the way to college students.
