I like helping children succeed in school and life. I'm a experienced veteran certified teacher with over fifteen years teaching in the NJ/NYC metro area public schools. I have worked hard to help my students of various backgrounds reach their full academic potential. I have patiently taught math, social studies, reading, writing, and science to elementary and middle school students. Additionally, I have provided after school instruction to students through a home instruction program in the Jersey City Public Schools. Furthermore, I have over a decade of experience working with high school students in summer school credit recovery classes.
Basically, I have worked with all types of students from the highly motivated to the not so motivated. Regardless, I have always strived to bring respect and knowledge to my students. I always strive to inspire and help them excel in school by meeting their individual academic needs. I believe that all students can achieve greatness if they seek it.
I enjoy helping a student learn something that perhaps they struggled with initially and seeing how much their self confidence grows as they realize that they now understand it. Being a conduit to helping another person learn is a great honor and then watching them experience a feeling of accomplishment is priceless. I enjoy working with students who are determined to learn.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I get to know the student and his or her parent/guardian in order to put together a mutually beneficial plan to help the student excel in the subject matter of their choosing. I answer any questions the parent/guardian may have and we set up a flexible schedule for providing tutoring services for their child.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’m a certified teacher with a Masters Degree in Urban School Administration
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Generally my pricing system is $45 for a 60 minute session.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a wide range of students from elementary to middle school and even high school students. I have worked with general education students as well as students with special needs.
