Hi, my name is Talal, and I look forward to providing you with an unparalleled tutoring experience. Below is a list of subjects that I tutor:

No two students are the same. Therefore, every student needs a curriculum that is individualized and tailored to their strengths, weaknesses, and learning style. That’s where I come in. With over five years of experience in university-level classroom instruction, as well as tutoring at major centers in NYC, I have developed a system that is able to reach every student, no matter how difficult the subject matter may seem to them at the onset. My teaching style emphasizes visualization and conceptualization over pure memorization, and is interlaced with real world mentorship to help students achieve their full potential. I have successfully utilized this teaching strategy over the years with high school students, undergraduate students, and even medical students in my various instructional positions.

In addition to my teaching style, I believe I have the qualifications necessary to guide my students to success. I attended the Bronx High School of Science during high school and then went on to the City College of New York to earn my Bachelor of Science (BS) as a double major in Biology and Anthropology. I then attended the University of Oxford to earn a Master of Science (MSc) in Radiation Biology. Currently, I am a PhD candidate at Columbia University where I conduct research on designing novel therapies against cancer stem cells to develop treatments for bladder and prostate cancer.

One of the most rewarding things about tutoring and teaching is seeing the maturation of my students. Watching a student initially struggle with a particular topic and then gaining mastery is absolutely fascinating for me. Even more so, I find joy when I see my students begin to enjoy the material rather than dread it.

Over the years I have worked with more than 300 students. And to this day, I keep in contact with many of them. It brings me tremendous satisfaction when they get in touch and let me know how much my teaching style has impacted their academiic development, and how they continue to utilize my learning methods in their current lives and careers.
