About
I'm a highly experienced PhD research scientist that loves to spread knowledge. My fervor for science and helping others ultimately lead me to tutoring and mentoring. I am very fortunate to have the experience of working with over 100 students in the subject areas of general chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, biochemistry, physics, algebra, trigonometry, geometry, history and writing. I've also prepared students for the SAT subject test in biology and chemistry. My clientele is broad and ranges from elementary school to graduate school students. I carefully tailor my sessions to meet individual needs, given many of my students have been diagnosed with learning disabilities, and emphasize organizational skills and test taking approaches. I am highly experienced with mastering diverse, complex concepts and distilling information to individuals of varying backgrounds. I firmly believe anyone is capable of learning anything, just need the right teacher and methods.
I love seeing the lightbulb go off in a student's head once a concept finally clicks. I get so much joy from working with my students, seeing their progress as we work together. Hopefully along the way I inspire some future scientists.
