About
Hi! My name is Mila and I am a graduate of the Macaulay Honors College at Brooklyn College. I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology with a double minor in Chemistry and Sociology. While in college, I worked as an organic chemistry tutor and volunteered as a peer mentor. As a tutor, I always started my sessions by trying to find out my students’ learning technique and designing my session around their needs. I always strive to make sure that my student leaves the session feeling more comfortable and understanding of the subject and material at hand. I am currently taking a gap year before starting medical school in the summer. During my gap year, I am working as a teaching assistant for biology and chemistry courses. Although I mostly tutor science classes, I very much enjoy reading and writing and have helped many students struggling in English and literature courses. I strongly believe in education and believe that with help and guidance, everyone can succeed in their area of study. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, baking, and watching movies.
