I meet each student where they are in order to help students achieve their highest potential. I work one-on-one and model techniques in order to build the confidence necessary for artists of any age to succeed at a higher level.
I truly enjoy connecting with each student as I help them find their authentic creative voice. While I specialize in helping students develop portfolios for H.S. and College admissions, no challenge is too great or too small for me to take on.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I always ask about prior experiences. It's really necessary for me to know a student's level of experience to properly gauge and strategize the approriate plan to help them reach their goals. Sharing images of past art works really helps me gain a sense of what skills we have to build on to.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an artist actively participating in New York City and maintain a rigorous painting practice of my own. Over the last 15 years, I have worked in both private and public educational capacities in the Tri-State area. Holding a B.S. in Art Education from Hofstra University, and a Masters of Fine Arts in Painting from CUNY Queens College, I have been helping students of all levels and ages reach their creative goals for well over a decade.

Pricing depends on the type of lesson and the frequency of our meetings.
How did you get started teaching?
Coming from a family of educators, it was inevitable that I would evenutally share my passion for making art with others. Teaching art is one of the most rewarding jobs I could put my energy toward and I enjoy every moment I spend doing it.

I've worked with students ranging in age and ability. From kindergartners to mature adults, I meet each client where they are in order to help them reach their goals and realize their greatest potential.
