Geraldine’s Learning Circle
About
I tutor elementary school children in various subjects, and my way of tutoring is individualized according to my student's individual needs. I am a pre medical student currently pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in Neuroscience at Binghamton University and hoping to one day become a pediatrician because I have a passion for working with little children. I tutor at home and am flexible with hours according to the child's needs. I have an inherent love for teaching and love doing this! It gives me satisfaction seeing that "aha!" moment in a child and seeing them want to learn how to do it by themselves :)
I enjoy seeing the child grow each and every time I work with he/her. It gives me much joy seeing them grow in every which way!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first make sure the student is comfortable with me, and speak in a calm, friendly manner since at the end of the day, I am his/her friend, but also I give a good balance because I am there to give the child extra help! I will see what the child's strengths and weaknesses are and practice tweaking the weaknesses so that one day they will become strengths! Practice is key!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have volunteered at Little Minds Montessori and assisted students while they work with montessori materials.
