I tutor French, Italian and Spanish at S.C.C.C. I have been doing one-on-one tutoring for 18 years. I help students with vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. I can break these languages down in easy managable chunks that will make sense to anyone.

I like being able to help students understand that while learning a language can de difficult, it doesn't need to be. It is great when a student figures out a particular concept of a language.

Darcey has a unique gift for simplifying the French language. Her explanations and the practice exercises that she provided always broke through the barriers to comprehension and enabled me to move forward with a stronger understanding of how to speak and use the French language. I was naturally a stronger Spanish student, so Darcey played a more supportive role in relation to my Spanish studies. However, I can say with complete certainty that without Darceys tutelage in French, I would not have passed the first course. With her guidance and tutoring, I took two semesters of Elementary French and received an A in both courses.

I have a bachelor of arts degree from Suny Albany, Major in French, Minor in Italian and Spanish.

I have a AS degree Teacher Education Transfer from, Suny Schenectady.

I work as a one-on-one tutor at S.C.C.C.

I can help students to write sentences from short to complex.

I can help students to understand grammar concepts and learn vocabulary.

$20/ per hour tutoring at SCCC 78 Washington Avenue Schenectady, NY.

I have available time on Wednesday and Thursday.

How did you get started teaching?

I wanted to help students study foreign languages. I've been speaking French since the 7th grade in junior high school. I picked up Italian and Spanish in college when I realized they are similar to French.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with students of many different backgrounds and courses of study who wanted to move their grade average up.
