About

Hello! My name is Teddy and I am a Las Vegas local. I frequently tutor my peers and their friends and families. I have experience in almost every high school subject and some college level classes. I have taken many Advance Placement tests, so I know what to look for in those exams.

I love teacher and seeing the joy from helping others. Seeing others become happy is enough for me to continue teaching.

Frequently asked questions

I always want to know what the student is lacking in to help them know what they need to know. From there, I can assess what needs to be done in order to help them. I do not rush students and allow them to take their time and make mistakes. This is important for students to learn on their own merit and allows them to figure out how to learn better.

I am currently in university, studying in secondary education (high school and middle school education), specifically math as it is what I am the best at. I am still knowledgeable in other subjects, so do not let my studies in math deter you! I have tutored before and love to do it for my friends and family.

My tutoring rate is $10/hour. If there are issues with payment, we can always discuss it and come up with a compromise.

I wanted to become a teacher because of what my senior english teacher said: "The effort you put into your education is what you get out." It helped me to understand that learning is not only dependent on a teacher's job to teach the lesson, but the student's responsibility to learn the lesson. We often blame teachers if a student is failing, but it is never the student's fault if they refuse to do the work and ignore the lessons. I want to teach my students that their choices and their responsibilities are for them to do. If they refuse to do it, then that is ok, however it is on them to face those consequences.

I have worked with a diverse range of students. I have tutored students with disabilities, mental illnesses, and many more.

No matter who you choose, if you do not have the desire to learn and grow as a scholar, you should not find a tutor. You have to find a reason to be tutored, you have to find your own path.

"What am I struggling with? What can I improve on?"
