About

I've worked for years at a University Tutoring Center helping students get a grasp of math and chemistry concepts that they struggle with. My aim is to ensure that my students not only understand the novel methodologies they were struggling with, but that they also performed them comfortably on their own. With the unique circumstances provided by the recent pandemic, online tutoring has gained great importance. I have spent the last 3 months developing my online skills with previous employment and I'm thoroughly prepared to offer a wide variety of assistance. I've always been gifted in academic learning and I firmly believe that sharing what I've learned is crucial to my personal development as a professional.

When I was younger I never thought I would enjoy teaching others. There is a lot of hassle that goes into effective teaching. As I got experience tutoring something amazing happened. Those moments when my student finally understood a hard topic; when it all clicked, they changed the was I viewed teaching. The sense of accomplishment that comes from knowing I helped someone understand something they didn't before is exhilerating. I thrive on those moments.

    Frequently asked questions

First I get to know the student a little bit. Who are they? What are their aspirations? What is frustrating them about their current class? I do my best to make them feel comfortable as my new student. Then I like to review what they know, and what notes they might have. From there it's easy to make an efficient learning strategy that will benefit the student the most.
