I am a linguistic studies major at The University of Hawaii at Manoa. My quest to becoming a polyglot(speaker of 5+) languages is a daunting one but is my lifes passion. I hope to teach language all over the world, but starting off small in my hometown with bright eyes.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically like to get a basic understanding of what they would like to know, cross refrencing that with what is required from the class and getting all of the necessary information learned with some extra tips on the side.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently in my senior year at University of Hawaii at Manoa studying foriegn language. My languages of concentration are spanish and french. Looking to graduate in the spring all of the knowledge from my time spent in school is fresh and I am excited to share that with my students.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Language learning is a very complicated process that requires a lot of planning on my end for each student. My asking price is $30 dollars/hour. This includes a comprensive check on what is needed with the student and pre planned lessons once we become acquainted. This specialized learning technique is best for fast results.
How did you get started teaching?
I started out as a tutor for my universities foreign language department and then started doing private tutoring on the side.
What types of students have you worked with?
Mostly college students and college level work so my scope of help is very broad and not level or age restricted.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
This past summer I spent two weeks volunteering in Costa Rica and it was an incredible oppurtunity to use my spanish skills, directly following that I went to the French Alpes to study abroad for five weeks solidifying my conversational fluency in the language.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I am a safe place and an open book. I am simply here to help and be of best service to my students. Feel free to ask questions, it actually helps me be a better teacher!
