General Math Tutoring
About
I'm Jason, a passionate tutor based in Las Vegas, Nevada. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience on a range of subjects, including English, Math, Reading, Science and Writing (K-12).
I can tutor most anything K-12. I have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and have a background in competition math. I can do after 5:00pm any weekday and weekends are pretty much full availability. I use outside interests such as books, games, or characters to keep you engaged and make sure that each student gains the knowledge they need. I can take feedback and will accept any pointers or help based on needs of a student.

One of my teachers in High School got me into teaching the Saturday classes and I enjoyed it. I also helped out after school during tutoring times and began to gain experience like that.
What types of students have you worked with?
4th grade to College and all types of people and students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone who you like, but will make sure you do the work and is adamant about learning it so that you don't slack off or float through the class.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask yourself "Why" 5 times starting with something like "What do I not understand from this lesson/topic/area?" then go from there to find the root cause of an area of misunderstanding or lack of knowledge.
